On another note, Savages is a very bad film. Mostly because Blake Lively is a wretched, wretched actress. Benicio del Toro, John Travolta and Salma Hayek almost saved Oliver Stone’s obsessive preoccupation with visual tricks, dangling plot devices, and an obvious crush on a terrible actress. Almost.
